The Miami Springs Senior High Music Program budget is limited therefore the GHBB must seek financial support for the program within the community. Fortunately, the program has received wonderful support from businesses and members in the Miami Springs community through our many fundraising activities and sponsorships.
At the end of each school year (April), the Band Director develops the band budget for the next year. The Director then presents it to the GHBB Board Officers for review where a system for raising funds to support that budget goal is developed. The budget is published and voted on at the April General Meeting.
The GHBB provides the students and their parents with many fundraising opportunities throughout the year to meet their financial obligations.
Rationale
The Golden Hawks Band Booster fundraising program rewards the individual students’ efforts as they fundraise throughout the year. The more effort each student puts into achieving his or her fundraising goal, the greater the reward. This will also bring the music program closer to achieving the financial goals set each year.
Accounts
1. Profits gained from individual fundraising projects are placed in the student’s individual account.
2. A student’s individual account is non-transferable to another student (does not apply to siblings).
3. If a student moves, drops from the music program or is removed from the program, all fundraising monies in his/her individual account revert to the general account.
Rollover
At the close of the school year, all monies accumulated in student’s accounts will not rollover into the next school year. A reimbursement maximum of $75 will be offered to students with accounts exceeding the financial requirements for the year.
