COMMITTIEES

 

BAND BOOSTER OPERATIONS AND FUNDRAISING


The Golden Hawks Band Boosters provides fundraising, logistical, and moral support to the Band. For better coordination and higher productivity (and less stress), we have grouped these objectives into two practical areas: Operational Committees and Fundraising Committees. The efforts of these committees are an invaluable asset to the music program. We encourage parents to join the Golden Hawks Band Booster, Inc. and take an active role in the many worthwhile activities available during the year.

OPERATIONAL COMMITTEES


Chaperone/Volunteer Contact Committee

  • Develops and maintains a parent database program that will be accessible to the Band Director, the Executive Board, and other identified committee coordinators
  • Procures chaperones/volunteers for all band events including band rehearsals, football games, trips, performances and other events
  • Responsible for seeing that volunteer forms are completed by each member during the school year
  • Compiles and submits all volunteer hours to the School Volunteer Coordinator
  • Works with Webmaster to update the events calendar on the website

UNIFORM COMMITTEE
            Donna Tucker, Coordinator

  • Assists the band director with the research and purchase of uniforms and accessories
  • Maintains a uniform log with the assistance of the officer(s) in charge of uniforms
  • Assists with the preparation of uniforms during performances and events
  • Coordinates maintenance and inventory of uniforms and accessories
  • Coordinates the cleaning and repair of uniforms
  • With the Chaperone/Volunteer Contact Committee, obtains volunteers to assist with the maintenance, repair, and preparation of uniforms at performances and events

EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE
Joe Vasquez, Coordinator

  • Assists the Band Director with the research, construction, maintenance, transportation, and operations of props and equipment at each performance and event
  • Assists individual fundraising and event committees with obtaining and operating equipment during those events
  • With the Chaperone/Volunteer Contact Committee, obtains volunteers as needed

HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
_____________________, Coordinator

  • Organizes and provides refreshments at Booster meetings and Band sponsored events (FBA Festival, etc.), as needed
  • Reimbursed or receives funds through Treasurer
  • With the Chaperone Committee, obtains manpower to work the event, as needed
  • Researches, plans, and coordinates the Annual Music Program Banquet held in May of each year

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

  • Promotes the fundraising efforts for the music program
  • Researches and recommends fundraising opportunities
  • Develops and implements a fundraising plan
  • Assists fundraising committees with individual objectives

Monitors all fundraising budgets for performance
